Steph Studio Manager Steph started as a pole student with En Pointe in May 2016 and has loved every minute of it. She found the studio quickly becoming her second home, so when the opportunity arose to join the EP team as a receptionist, she couldn’t resist applying for the role. Steph has now been a part of the EP team since March 2017. Steph is an experienced Retail manager with a demonstrated history of working in customer service and sales. Steph is skilled in Team management, visual merchandising and social media and marketing. Steph completed a diploma of visual merchandising at RMIT school of design TAFE in December 2013 and also has Cert II and III in interactive digital media from Kangan institute of TAFE which she completed as part of her VCE studies. Fitness, health and well-being have also been an interest of Steph’s for quite some time, after all, that’s what got her into Pole. She has always loved to dance and was looking for something fun to do to help her get fit and stay motivated. Steph says “I’ve never been as strong or as confident as I am now and I intend to keep poling for as long as my body allows!” Outside of studio life, Steph loves to eat good food, drink good coffee, hang with her close friends and in her spare time, she loves to cook and make jewellery- in fact she loves anything creative! Steph can assist you with anything you may need within the studio. Being a student herself, she knows all about the studio and help with everything from booking classes, picking grip aids, organising functions or special ordering pole wear. You can find Steph at our front desk most nights of the week.

Shae Pole & Hoop Shae started pole in May 2010. She has always been an excellent pole student and also took to aerials easily as well. Her determination and dedication has seen her excel in everything she does. Shae has competed in VIC state competitions as well as In House studio competitions. She also guest performed as part of the En Pointe Polerinas and as a cameo for Le Chatelier at Pandemoniums IMAGINE 2017. Shae loved pole so much that when she was given the opportunity to teach it to others she grabbed it with both hands, she then began teaching aerial hoop in 2016. Shae is a qualified aerials instructor and is also qualified in massage and so has an in depth understanding of how your muscles are used and react in pole and aerials. Shae has a keen interest in all forms of physical activity but believes the ones we find the most fun will always produce the best results, which is why she encourages everyone who will listen to try pole or aerials at least once in their life.

Sam Pole, Hoop & Silks Sam has always been an active member in the sporting community. From a young age Sam participated in various forms of sport such as dancing, ju jitsu and netball, before finally settling on gymnastics where she trained and competed in State Level competitions for a number of years. In 2014, Sam decided to take up Pole Dancing classes after hearing of the many benefits it can have for your body. It did not take long for her passion to grow and she soon decided to focus all of her training time on pole! Since this time, Sam has competed and placed in many studio competitions in both pole and aerial divisions. This same year, Sam competed in her first pole competition where she took out first place in the beginners section, and third place in the doubles section. In 2016, Sam won Sponsors Choice at the En Pointe Student Pole Competiton, and in 2017 competed in the En Pointe Student Aerial Competition and Thunderstruck where she placed first in Advanced Hoop in both competitions. Despite no longer training as a gymnast, Sam is still very active in the sport. She is currently a qualified Advanced WAG coach through Gymnastics Australia and is also a qualified Gymstar judge. This extensive knowledge of strength, flexibility and skill training has allowed Sam to not only strengthen her own training regime, but has also given her the opportunity to pass that knowledge to her students. Sam also performs as a contemporary dancer, enjoys drawing and the MCU, is currently completing Honours in a Bachelor of Criminology/Bachelor of Psychological Science, and is slightly obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. Sam is an advanced student in all 3 apparatus at En Pointe Aerial Academy and has also started teaching beginners in all apparatus.

Kristee Pole, Hoop, Silks & Yoga Kristee started dancing at age 4 at Bacchus Marsh Dance Studios doing ballet, tap, and jazz. She passed her first ballet exam, and a few years later gave up dancing to instead pursue drama. She began drama classes at Performing Arts Headquarters where she eventually performed, directed and wrote multiple plays. After giving up both dance and drama to focus on her university studies, Kristee soon realized that she wanted to find a sport that combined her love of movement with the performance aspect of drama. On a whim, Kristee walked into the studio for a free trial class and was quickly hooked - beginning her first pole class in May 2015. She began Hoop in February of 2017, and in 2018 also began training other aerials such as Silks and Aerial Hammock/Yoga. After teaching children’s yoga for some years with local business Yoga Bubbles, Kristee completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 with Yoga Flame and has since been teaching at local gyms and within the council. She is also currently studying to become a qualified Pilates instructor with Studio Pilates. Peri Pole & Gymnastics. Ever since Peri’s first day of primary school, when she found her love of the monkey bars, she has continued find sports that involve hanging and being upside down. After being invited to a bring a friend night at gymnastics, Peri was hooked. She trained and competed as a state level gymnast until the end of 2016 and was a qualified level 1 WAG coach through Gymnastics Australia until 2012. At the beginning of 2016 Peri was looking for a sport she could continue to do closer to her studies in Geelong. During orientation at Deakin University Peri received a pass for a free pole dancing class but was too scared to go. Four years later Peri plucked up the courage to try a class and has never looked back. Peri has been a pole student with us since October 2017 and won Prima Runner up at our EPSC Pole competition 2018. Peri is now a Prima Poler who is always looking for new opportunities and the next new skill to learn. This year she has used her spare time after completing her Master of Architecture Degree to compete for the first time outside of the studio where she was a finalist in the Regional Pole Artistry Championships and Debut Amateur Competitions 2018. Peri is looking forward the beginning of her teaching journey with En Pointe Aerial Academy.
